Cambria

We spent the first 2 days of the New Year in Cambria, CA. It is only about 200 miles from us and only takes about 3.5 hrs. if everyone cooperates.

This is our absolute favorite spot to vacation. For a California beach town, it is quiet, quaint and cozy. The weather this time of year is usually beautiful (not too cold and never too hot). There is a great place to explore tide pools. The kids never leave the beach without being completely soaked. They have a wonderful city park right by the beach. They have a very nice Motel 6 that only costs $50/night (unheard of ). I'm sure there will be many more picts and blogs in the future.

I'm responding to your comment at Julie's blog. I have been reading Matt this past week, and as Rick preached Sun. It was putting together what I had been feeling- "Jesus Freaks me out!" I do not mean this in a bad way, but in a Yeah, I get it, the guy is a threat. He came to shake things up, shake me up, move me, move us. He asks his disciples over and over "don't you get it?" I find myself being just as pathetic, and faithless.
And I too want more, want to get it, want to move. Because He is God, and I get His Godness.
Back to school!

About Me

My photo
I'm a stay at home, homeschooling mom to four beautiful children and wife to my dream man who I am completely in love with. I love God and am in the process of learning rather recently (I'm sorry to say) that I can do no good thing apart from Him.
